Ezras Nashim ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Ezras Nashim mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our App.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

• Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and name. You may optionally provide a Hebrew name.
• Donation Information: When you make a donation through the App, your payment is processed by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. We do not store your credit card number. We retain donation amount, date, and any dedication message you provide.
• Prayer Requests & Tehillim Chains: If you create or join a Tehillim chain, we store the intention text and chapter assignments you provide.
• Feedback: Any feedback or messages you submit through the App.

Information Collected Automatically

• Device Identifier: We generate a random, anonymous device identifier to track your mitzvah completions and app preferences. This identifier is not linked to your device's hardware ID.
• Location Data: With your permission, we access your device's location to provide location-based features such as prayer times (Zmanim), Shabbat candle-lighting times, and the Kotel Compass. Location data is processed on your device and through the Hebcal API; we do not store your precise location on our servers.
• Push Notification Token: With your permission, we use OneSignal to deliver push notifications. OneSignal receives a device token to route notifications. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
• Usage Data: We track which mitzvah categories you engage with (Torah, Tefilla, Tzedaka, Life) to display your personal progress and analytics. This data is associated with your account or device identifier.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the App's features.
• To process donations and provide receipts.
• To send push notifications you have opted into (e.g., daily reminders, new content).
• To display your personal mitzvah tracking progress and challenge participation.
• To facilitate Tehillim chains and community features.
• To calculate and display community-wide statistics (aggregated and anonymized).

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may receive your data:

• Supabase (database and authentication): Stores your account information, mitzvah records, and app content. Supabase Privacy Policy
• Stripe (payment processing): Processes donation payments. Stripe receives your payment card details directly; we never see or store your full card number. Stripe Privacy Policy

Data Retention

• Your account data is retained as long as your account is active.
• You may delete your account at any time from the Profile screen in the App. Upon deletion, your profile data, mitzvah records, and challenge progress are permanently removed.
• Donation records may be retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations.

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transmission.
• JWT-based authentication for API access.
• Rate limiting on sensitive endpoints.
• Row-Level Security (RLS) policies on our database.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data through the Profile screen.
• Update your name, email, and Hebrew name through the Profile screen.
• Delete your account and all associated data through the Profile screen.
• Opt out of push notifications through your device settings.
• Deny location access through your device settings (location-dependent features will be limited).

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by other means.
